HollyShorts Film Festival Now Accepting Submissions!

Call for entries for the 4th annual HollyShorts Film Festival (HSFF) begins on Monday, January 14, 2008. Filmmakers from around the globe are encouraged to submit their short films, all genres, 30 minutes and under to HollyShorts, one of the fastest growing festivals in the US and the premiere short film event in Hollywood, CA. Student submissions receive a $5 discount on WAB. Submissions will be accepted through Withoutabox.com. The 4th annual HollyShorts Film Festival takes place August 7-10, 2008 in Hollywood.


The third annual HollyShorts was a record breaking event, drawing over $26,000 in prizes awarded. Best Short film honors went to “Songbird” Directed by John Thompson. Thompson was awarded a one week audio rental package courtesy of Action Audio and Visual, featuring sound and communications equipment rentals to utilize for his next film project. The event featured Actor Adrian Grenier’s short film “Euthanasia,” a DJ performance from the legendary hip hop DJ Biz Markie and 57 short films in competition.

Call for entries for the Fourth Annual Haydenfilms Online Film Festival! Student and independent filmmakers can submit their short films for the chance to win a $10,000 cash prize! All genres will be accepted for review, including animation, experimental, and documentary.

On Jan 10th, 2008 - Haydenfilms will be honoring our final four filmmakers, whose films will be chosen as per your votes from our online film festival, at the prestigious Director's Guild of America Theater in New York City. Following a wonderful networking party with film industry professionals, including cocktails and hor'derves, their films will be showcased on the big screen, at our Season Three Awards Ceremony.

The event will also showcase Michael Attardi's short animated film, starring Jim Belushi and Tim Curry called "Once Upon a Christmas Village" has won at the Festival De Cannes, South Africa, Florence, New York, Boston, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Houston and Wales. He also won 11 Telly Awards, 4 Accolade Awards, 7 Aurora Awards and 7 Davey Awards. The film has qualified for the Academy Awards in the Short Animated Film Category and has shattered the all-time film festival award record with 66 awards. .... Feel free to forward !
